Winfrey Oprah began her own book club in 1996. Since then, her club has grown broader and brighter, becoming more amazing, more influential, more beautiful, and better. It’s a trailblazing pack of excellent books that she picks which eventually end up as national best-sellers. Her book club also partners with Apple TV+ part of which collaboration enables authors and writers to be interviewed and broadcasted by Apple TV+.
From time to time, we will feature Oprah Winfrey’s literary picks and critique the selected works. The purpose of the literary critique is in order to learn more from Oprah’s wealth of knowledge and experience as well as from the authors and their literary works, especially studying the themes, styles, approach, tone, age, audience, etc., of the literary works.
This will enable our book club members to become more versatile in different areas, especially becoming more proficient with the use of words in etiquette, speech writing, and prose and poetry in keeping with the name of our magazine as Word Bank.
